I was stunned by how quickly "progressive", "activist" groups and individuals clamoured for normalcy when it was abundantly clear that nothing was back to normal, anywhere, except the continued marginalization of disabled and chronically ill people.

I love this SO much! I constantly talk about how indie bookstores in NYC provide the safest spaces I've been in since 2020 (and that includes hospitals and doctors offices).
In Portland - Always Here Books still requires masks and the Constellation Reading Series at Bishop and Wilde requires masks during readings and offers a live stream of all their events
