I go through cycles of being very upset about the Ebola outbreak and dissociating, too much to take. Seeing these numbers I'm back at being very upset.
This should be at the top of the news, 635 confirmed cases (likely many more unconfirmed), current doubling time of 8d. What is the world doing?
#Ebola update from DRC: Confirmed cases are now at 635, with 127 confirmed deaths.
There were 37 new cases yesterday including 12 deaths. It appears the number of case contacts being followed is still quite low, about six per confirmed case. insp.cd/sitrep-n26-m...
As we near 1 month since the #Ebola outbreak in DRC & Uganda was declared, #WHO estimates the risk of further spread as very high in DRC, high in Uganda & countries neighboring those 2, but low elsewhere in Africa & globally. WHO is worried about ETU capacity in DRC.
