If you’re after cute cosy crime with a little m/m romance action, visit Milverton! @gbralph.com has created a wonderfully warm, funny and chaotically cute series that’s one of my favourites 😍 Audio of book 4 is out today, full series on Kindle Unlimited in the UK. #booksky
In a minor concession to it being FootTheBall season, and not ViolenceOnIce season (my preferred sport), I’m re-listening to Terry Pratchett’s Unseen Academicals, in which the round ball sport takes off on the Discworld.
It’s 99p on Kindle right now!
With the buffoonery of the Wizards, and musings on the nature of worth, it’s still an enjoyable read, despite it not perhaps being Pratchett’s finest work. A-HO THE MEGAPODE!
REVIEW: The Fish and Chip Shop Detectives and the Campervan Murder by Jenny Kane
From Hodder Fiction. When I finished The Fish and Chip Shop Detectives, I fell in love with the characters and the setting, and immediately pre-ordered the follow up - The Campervan Murder, and it does not disappoint.…

REVIEW: Home Before Dark by Eva Björg Ægisdóttir. Dark, twisty, atmospheric and gripping standalone psychological thriller that keeps the reader engaged and wrong footed. 10 years after her sister's disappearance, Marsi returns to her home town to investigate. #bookreview

I've long been a fan of Scandinavian and Icelandic fiction, sometimes it's great to slip out of my cosy lane and pick up something truly chilling. Home Before Dark is such a fantastic read. It's not a book you can read a chapter of and put down - it's best served in one sitting. In 1967, Marsi's sister went missing, the only clue was her blood soaked anorak. 10 years later, Marsi returns to try and uncover what happened the night, unable to move on until she has answers. And of course, it's not the only secret that is uncovered.
