These days a mere click gets you hundreds of folks opining on the latest film, and that’s not a bad thing. But when I was a kid there was one person on each TV channel who talked about movies and pop culture for a brief segment. Gene Shalit was the goofiest of that ilk. God bless him. Rest In Peace.
