I had heard about something to this effect quite some time ago, and it full stop made me never play Pokemon Go ever again.

Yokoyama says they talked to the estate AND the family, and I would be very curious to know if the family part is true.
(He also calls Tupac an actor [unless that was just a quirk of the translated interview] which is only very loosely technically correct so... 🤷♀️)
