I am describing the hair of the 1800s men in my book because it's what I can see best from their photos or is it because I am bald and I'm curious about how they dealt with that. Hard to tell.
That worked well
Interesting backstory - they have recruited heavily from the Netherlands, of which it was formerly a colony. Lots of boundary crossing when it comes to eligibility, which is normal and good. My kids could play for N. Ireland, Ireland, or U.S.

One thing I’ve learned writing this biography of Emilio Sanchez (anti slavery spy, out next year) is how tempting it can be for reasons of narrative or sympathy to gloss over challenging parts of the story. But therein lies richness. Sanchez is conflicted but it’s so revealing about him - & humanity
