Just posted the other day about how most people haven't noticed that Penske owns all the "competing" entertainment industry outlets, has tilted them all anti-labor, etc.

I am not a guy who believes that pre-consolidation era, when we had less mature network/economy of scale effects and better monopoly enforcement was some sort of golden age, but I do think this has all trended significantly worse.
Nephew is apparently watching Mr. Beast videos, which is concerning in general, but the one thing that stood out to me in the bits I caught is how lifeless they all feel. Millions of dollars in sets, props, design, and production and it all feels completely empty. Utterly sterile shithousing.
Concepts built backwards from the core goal of maximum clicks, delivered by a guy whose main skill is turning himself into a blank slate to serve the algorithm, and in the process everything potentially interesting or human gets sanded down to an eye catching thumbnail.
