But I am a little surprised that they chose P5 to appropriate. I guess it's more popular than I'd thought.
But the fisherman isn't on a road! He's on a boat! And the boat also isn't on a road! It's on the water!
Also, it's a complete distortion of the source material, since Shido is basically fictional Japanese Trump.
THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY! There's an all-new episode of Shujin Academy VGM Club, featuring music from the classic @ocremix.org albums devoted to Final Fantasy II, IV, V, and VI! Hear awesome remixes of classic songs! Thrill to awesome VGM arrangements! SUPLEX THE WHOLE TRAIN!
I'm not surprised that they deliberately misinterpreted P5, since Trump's social media regularly posts AI pics of him and Jesus getting sucked off by bikini girls.
As a Persona fan, I think it's beyond gross that Trump's social media was appropriating P5's imagery. I don't get super partisan here (nor do I wish to), but I'm not a fan of the president and I'm looking forward to the day it finally happens.
Friedman's concept that ownership deserved primary consideration over every other stakeholder in a business (including society at large!) has done a massive amount of harm to humanity.

The value of localization is something I feel we're also still fighting to be fully recognized. Carl Macek, Torin Smith, Ted Woolsey; they were the right people in the right place at the right time.
FFXIV's success outside of Japan is in no small part due to Koji Fox's localization direction.
