This week we retracted our 2024 Nature paper in response to two matters arising. We are grateful for the community‘s engagement and have worked on addressing the issues raised - but the changes exceed a mere correction of the published article. More info below. What is really important to me …
… is to emphasize that our paper’s qualitative conclusions are strongly supported by a wider evidence base: climate change has substantial impacts on the economy, these are very unequally distributed and outweigh the costs of ambitious climate policy.
