The Untamed (CQL) TV adaptation really underplayed the side effects of demonic cultivation. We see Lan Wangji warning him about it, but we only glimpse WWX's dark side, and we never really learn what the Yin Tiger Tally is. I really need to rewatch the show and make notes.
