I'm very happy to have been part of this wonderful initiative!
We also include an annotation for the genome and use it to characterize gene families across mollusks, and the expression in neural and non-neural tissues of adult cuttlefish.
Iām happy to share that our paper about the Sepia officinalis genome is out in eLife!𧬠We compared the assemblies of two individuals that had a different predicted number of chromosomes, and found highly repetitive regions that likely prevented a complete assembly.
