I may not be completely objective but to me it represents an important step forward after "Cultural evolution in the digital age", but have a look yourself!

For people interested in cultural evolution, it is an example of what we can do using the cultural ecology framework, in the specific domain of social media. For people interested in social/digital media, it reframes a series of questions and empirical problems in a unitary theoretical framework.
