I have just written to the National Police Chiefs Council to explain the importance of this wonderful event and to ask for an exemption to their policy on police escorts so that the Taxi Outing can still go ahead this year.
What a great day for @pedalonparliament.org - thanks for letting me speak about my love for cycling and the importance of getting safe infrastructure right for everyone , including pedestrians and also women cycling at night!

Our amendment on the order paper for tomorrow - calling on the UK government to negotiate a customs union with the EU, as the first step to getting back to the heart of Europe.
We hope all those Labour MPs quietly agreeing with us will do the right thing and vote for our amendment tomorrow.
