I’m going to become so gleefully insufferable if the Society of St. Pius X actually gets excommunicated for ordaining their own trad heretic bishops on July 1. they MIGHT be just spineless enough to chicken out because they don’t want that smoke, but I desperately hope hubris carries the day 🙏

also “you can be excommunicated for not accepting Vatican II” might actually be the most jaw-droppingly radical thing either Leo or Francis has done/will do and the fact that Leo explicitly named that as the reason why BLEW MY MIND. effectively saying the sedevacantists aren’t valid Catholics
