I know I have to have paid in for 35 years to get the full state pension. I think I have paid in much more than I will ever get back.
Although I will try to live as long as possible in an attempt to get my money's worth.

Part 2 is perfectly reasonable, part 1 most do not pay enough national insurance to match the cost of the state pension. That makes it a benefit by my book.
