1. States are not just allowing AI data centers to be built. States are spending BILLIONS to incentivize tech giants to build data centers. And its creating major issues for state budgets.
5. In Illinois, for example, a Microsoft data center “received more than $38 million in data center sales tax exemptions but created just 20 permanent jobs.” Even the largest data centers end up employing less than 150 workers.
