I'm interested in what happens if these companies cannot produce a list of all the things they scraped.
there's absolutely no chance they ever can because they needed plausible deniability when this eventually came home to roost.

Black Forest Labs (like Stability AI) likely took a bunch of work off the internet in order to train their AI. A bill in California would force transparency in their dataset.

1/ This company’s models were trained on web scraped datasets (like LAION) and their founders are ex-Stability AI employees who engage in the same thieving practices that led artists like myself to sue Stability.
