How have Kraftwerk changed since 1974? Musically every composition is underpinned by a toe-tapping dance backbone now. The volume is loud and visceral. Visually there is a continuous stream of evolving immersive imagery, which has a nostalgic focus on old tech. 100% entertainment power!
Let’s face it, only a John Betjeman DJ set could top this.

In 1974, they were much more primitive- 2 members played self-built electronic percussion (there were no drum machines), and the graphics were limited to a single image on the backdrop, which of course is still a central symbol ❤️

Kraftwerk in Edinburgh last night was an eye-popping experience. Incredible that the last time I saw them in Leith was 52 years ago.
