Labour promised to close down these costly asylum hotels, and half of them are now closed, including the one here in Ashford. I campaigned hard to see this happen. This is a promise made and a promise delivered for my constituents.

The ongoing issues, caused by South East Water’s lack of investment and its prioritisation of profits over customers, are unacceptable. The company must deliver a long-term solution and raise standards.
It was a pleasure to co-host Mind’s (@mind.org.uk) drop-in today in Parliament! Keeping mental health high on the agenda is a key priority of mine—thank you to Mind for all that you do to raise awareness of the issue!
