i increasingly think that neither biden nor harris (had she won in '24) could've done more than kick the can on our collapse into competitive authoritarianism. I'm not excusing biden/garland and their failure to lead on this, especially in the immediate aftermath of J6. but there was so much damage

finally seeing season two of THE PITT. this is not an original thought, but the writers giving the hospital facilities/support staff substantive, three-dimensional characters really makes the entire show come alive. we so often erase them...
An absolute mess. The amount of rebuilding we are going to need to do to have a functioning justice system again is overwhelming to think about, and also makes essential transparency now on the scale and nature of misconduct in the USAO. There’s no repair without knowing the exact damage inflicted.
