In accordance with the best science we have, monarch caterpillars in our yard will be left wild and not enclosed or hand reared. They will be photographed and admired, and we’ll hope they do well. (But sometimes for a caterpillar that means they’ll be a bird meal.) xerces.org/blog/keep-mo...
