A rather disappointing run today, because my feet were killing me and I kept having to stop to walk, but at least I got to bask in some sunshine and see two deer, plenty of poppies, much mallow, and three butterflies. And I've got leftover stir-fry and a call with a beloved friend this evening!
These are a few examples of the so-called Town Mosaic found at the Palace of Knossos. They are faience plaques which were likely mounted originally to furniture. Each plaque depicts a Minoan house with doors, windows, brickwork, wooden beams etc. It’s a delightful find
