or the record, we are opposed to mediocrity and stagnancy in literature. We are not they. They have their castle and their swamp and they defend both with their Academic missiles and their legions of the willing. We do not own a swamp, we own a garden, with strange animals.
I think you can all trust that Gone Lawn will never publish a story containing the sentence, "It beats until the roof talks back in a dry moan." That's what stops us, right there.
Also, WE trust that a human will never consciously think of writing such a sentence and then send it to us.
I would never say he should be drawn and quartered for this. That's something I wouldn't say.

We've a few weeks until #66, for advent of the buck moon. We have to say we're behind but on top. We have a whole Hel-load of maybes. We accepted a couple yestern. Sometimes it takes a certain freak for something to hit us & say "THIS!"
