I would say rather harsh push back against the ideas of the European Commission. The main takeaways: 1) deletion of narrowed scope of the definition of personal data, 2) removal of the proposed recitals accepting rather broad legitimate interest legal basis for AI training on sensitive data,
so whilst travelling today I have more or less managed to go through 91-page long Opinion of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) of the European Parliament on the Digital Omnibus 🙃
