Butterfly on a Wheel was originally conceived as a short story, so that was draft #1. It was completely from Jeanette's perspective. Then it expanded to a novella, then a full novel. While I was working on that I worked on two companion pieces, one the Butterfly timeline told (1/5)

...lies, betrayal, and death blasting a raw hole in everything, it became tempered with acceptance, resilience, and a spiteful will to keep going in spite of everything. The whole work became less venomous as a result, but I think it resulted in a better story overall!
