And mini nuclear reactors sound cool on paper, until you do the math. It doesn’t scale up as well. By the time you build a single reactor, you probably got half your money back from solar and wind energy.
Batteries keep getting better, so do PV and wind turbines. This is the feature.

Does your phone stop working if you pull the plug after charging? That is literally the solution. Just bigger.
With electric everything there is way fewer conversion loss, making it way more efficient than anything gas.
And if you fear PV taking over farmland: there are projects to build them at a higher point, so that farmers can still grow crops underneath PV panels using their fancy harvesters. Or they provide shade for animals and plants.
I keep seeing pro nuclear power posts, and how renewable energy is only viable with subsidies.
Nuclear power plants currently cost roughly 2x as much with similar subsidies per kW/h.
Construction of new plants is always over budget and time (>10yrs).
Where do you store the waste?
Someone at work took 3 months to fulfill a request that takes no more than 20 minutes - if you triple-check everything.
And did it wrong.
I didn't know what to do after seeing this unfold, so I had to walk off my frustration. With longer pauses, groaning in disbelief...
