If you know someone with Long Covid or mild/moderate ME & you feel they’re overcareful about not exerting themselves too much etc - it’s because they’re living in quiet terror of ending up here

I don’t think even most advocates and pwME understand how profoundly limited in options you are at extremely severe.
All coping mechanisms make your situation worse in the long term.
All you can do is lay completely still in the dark all alone with all senses blocked, not thinking anything.
