You also learn quite a bit how Linux starts up and powers off with these runit scripts too. How virtual filesystems are mounted How cgroups are handled How ttys are setup How file systems are activated How sysctl's are applied And of course how things are shutdown.
I'm 70% considering moving to Void at the end of the month. Spent more time playing with Void and ... learning so much about runit, and xbps. I understand now why people call systemd bloat XD
Just something about how arch and void is built really interests me. Independent, solid build systems, no corpo backing like Red Hat is to Fedora or Canonical is to Ubuntu

Compiling Cosmic DE for Void Linux as part of test 2. I tested kde earlier but lets give Cosmic DE a shot. The third party repo is acting up so manually building it from the repo.
