Speaking of catching up, I’m enthralled by this story by @rossshowalter.com from @theoffingmag.bsky.social.
I’ve worked with Deaf and disabled kids for four years. I thought I knew what disability education was when I started that work, but I learned something new every day.
To have someone like RFK Jr., overseeing yet inept, means that these kids’ learning will be harmed. This is terrifyingly wrong.
I’m back on Instagram—tell your friends! 😜
Opening Submittable and checking on active submissions is now an act of organized optimism.
My dad's college roommate, a TV writer, read my work and told me that I had the potential to make a career as a writer. I was 21.
Anyway, it’s time to submit this weird flash fiction to places.
Happy Pride especially to my hearing counterparts who choose to learn ASL and strive for equitable and open communication.
(I’ll probably keep Gmail, for convenience, unless the slop gets overwhelming.)
Update: I took a step further and switched to the DuckDuckGo browser and it’s honestly a lot more streamlined and clear than Google Chrome ever was. Turning off the features I disliked (like A.I. search) was very easy.
