The goal is to create clear apprenticeship pathways right up to university level for the Swindon defence hub. These businesses will help co-design the courses, sharing real-world expertise, teaching input, and industry-standard equipment to make sure students gain the skills employers actually need.
Yesterday, I joined Harry Parker's father Adam, and aunt Jaimie, to meet with the Minister for Local Transport. It was a positive meeting and I will continue to push for tougher penalties for unlicensed drivers and drivers who fail to stop, to ensure that Harry's legacy makes our roads safer.
Proud to be elected a voting member of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. In uncertain geopolitical times, European cooperation matters more than ever. Looking forward to working with fellow MPs to promote democratic stability, human rights & military transparency across Europe and Eurasia.
This week I hosted the first of many steering group meetings, bringing together new industries that have moved to Swindon with our fantastic college.
As one of the MPs who signed the open letter urging Ofwat and Environment Secretary Emma Reynolds to reject Thames Water’s creditors’ proposal, I welcome the Minister’s announcement in Parliament yesterday that she has formally objected to the deal.
Fantastic to meet with Martyn of Prevtech, a family run precision engineering company that is growing and will be moving to Swindon to support that growth. They're working on some exciting projects and also looking to support the Drone Hub.
She raised serious concerns that the proposed recapitalisation does not adequately protect customers or the environment, relies on excessive regulatory concessions, and could leave consumers bearing unfair costs in the future. This is one step closer to nationalisation
