Also it's been years of disabled people pointing out the program's name is in fact, a slur towards/for disabled people. Decades even. ZERO interest in changing the name that's not even a proper acronym to something less offensive. Which speaks to the program's design as well tbh.

Several subjects in the documentary sued Jennie Livingston and lost. She handed them contracts, and none of them had lawyers to look at it before signing. They were only paid them a few hundred dollars each. The film grossed millions. This is discussed in Black Meme by Legacy Russell.
