A few cities will want to follow that model, sure, but as Trump is president again, we know most folks in the US will not vote for a not white person even if he makes their lives better.
This has been proven time and time again.
And magical thinking will get us no where.
The world we are often shown in televised news is not the one that actually exists.
The fear and hopelessness we feel is a byproduct of the slop we see broadcast into our homes.
But we are much more alone than not.
And a lot more of people are fighting for progress than we are shown.
Blocking every politician I see on here has had the unintended side effect of me being invisible to their stans as well.
One of the best decisions I’ve made on the socials.
One thing that has been instrumental in being able to see propaganda is not watching televised news and start reading.
Read from various sources and perspectives. Read from different countries. Read about what is happening from people on the ground.
