Finally getting a chance to watch Scream 7 this morning. Due to health circumstances earlier this year, it was the first of the series I didn't get to see in a theatre.
Yeah, I know... there's been a lot of hate thrown at it, but I'll actually watch it and make my own mind up.

The Mothman Prophecies (2002) Dir.: Mark Pellington
I love this more each time I see it, and feel it is a sadly underrated film. Less about the mythical cryptid and more about sustaining an oppressively dark mood while building up to a real-life disaster. 7/9

Mortal Kombat (1995) Dir.: Paul W.S. Anderson
This was my first time watching this film since it first came out in theatres. I am not a gamer, and also not a fan of this particular Paul Anderson, but I must say I probably enjoyed this more now than I did originally. 6/9

So Sad About Gloria (1973) Dir.: Harry Thomason
Stiffly acted, poorly cut psycho-horror where Gloria is released from an asylum but starts having visions of a man with an ax, 2 years after an ax murder happened in the very house she and her husband purchase. 4/9

This Is Not a Test (2025) Dir.: Adam MacDonald
Dopey, hormonal teenagers make dumb decision after dumb decision, only this time they are in a zombie apocalypse. I just couldn't find anyone to root for in this. I simply craved the end of all mankind ASAP. 5/9

After Last Season (2009) Dir.: Mark Region
Watching this before the @flophousepodcast.com about it. Interesting internet history full of rumors of its supposed connection to Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are, and that the credited director was not a real person. etc.

Zodiac (2007) Dir.: David Fincher
Watching the Community episode about the Ass-Crack Bandit late last night gave me no choice but to revisit its main inspiration this morning. Excellence in all departments IMHO. My very favorite of Fincher's mostly terrific filmography. 8/9

The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) Dir.: Guy Hamilton
May 28th would have been James Bond creator Ian Fleming's 118th birthday. Since I skipped on Fleming's step-cousin Christopher Lee's own the day before, I revisited the film where they crossed paths on the screen. 6/9

#NowWatching:
The Reincarnate (1971) Dir.: Don Haldane
Talky Canadian production where a self-proclaimed 8,000-year-old man wants to reincarnate into the body of a younger artist. I can suspend my disbelief for the length of a film, but this mumbo-jumbo is Carson Daly dull. 5/9
