This is a personal one from me.
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 27. I was vaccinated a few years earlier, privately, but it was too late for me.
I had surgery 1 week after my wedding. It was caught early and I was lucky but the outcome could have been different.
Get checked & vaccinated!

My friend (and mentor) died last year. There is a publication being prepared in her honour and I was asked to write something for her. I have started, but every time I pick it up, my heart feels so tight and I can't keep my emotions at bay...
When you have a difficult day and high levels of stress and irritability and keep being met with love and kindness from a little human. How humbling ❤️

Tomorrow I am delivering a talk for the series European Archaeology Day organized by Archaeology Scotland and discussing some of the risks affecting rock art.
Rock art is a very vulnerable type of heritage, and in Scotland alone we know of more than 3000 sites distributed across the country.
Recently, I have been thinking about the vulnerability of rock art and the risks that impact this very specific and quite ubiquitous type of heritage. I was kindly invited by @archscot.bsky.social to deliver a talk on this subject for their 'European Archaeology Day talks'.
