The death of a woman from Haiti seeking asylum in the U.S. who died from hypothermia days after her release from federal custody was ruled a homicide by a Pennsylvania county medical examiner's office.
At the same time, Council voted unanimously to waive street assessments for the recently started construction at 38th and Chicago. For years, Frey's administration has pitched the reconstruction of the intersection as reparative investments after MPD's murder of George Floyd.
