Ran to the store tonight. Bought bread, buns, pickles, ham for the dogs, soda, a wild impulse splurge of $.99 (on sale) small box of pasta, some vegan cheese, and a french roll of bread for the hummus. That was it. $99. I heard the total and thought, 'How on earth can families feed their kids?'
