Totally agree with @friendlyatheist.com here. This decision is incoherent on its merits. And that's because this is entirely about signaling the Christian Nationalist movement's beliefs about whose beliefs are genuine and worthy of protection and whose are not.
We filed a FOIA request about this change back in January.
