To create this new @who.int report we asked a provocative question - what if countries already measure much of what is needed to improve #publichealth? 📊
The story of exposure to Rift Valley fever #RVF, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever #CCHF and #brucellosis is remarkable; past CCHF infection was found in 26% of people across Uganda and 1 in 13 people experienced a past RVF infection.
But just as compelling is how the research was conducted; in partnership with communities and strengthening local surveillance systems, integrated across animal and human health, utilising social sciences and policy analysis throughout to increase impact.
