Energy is an essential service, and the government can redesign the system so that everyone can afford their bills. 🧵

📒 That's why it’s not right that so many of us are already unable to afford our energy bills, with further increases to come in the near future.
🗣️ We need to hear from all parties what they would do to tackle this pressing issue.
This policy proposal echoes our call for an Affordable Energy Guarantee to ensure that households' basic energy needs are met.
Through the AEG, all households would be supported with their energy costs, with the biggest savings for those most in need.
