I think the hardest part of this month is that across both the Summer Games Fest and Nintendo Direct videos, there was ONE game that I’m fairly confident I recorded something for. And it reminded me of all the auditions I’ve done - many of which I am super proud of - that never resulted in anything.

One of the exciting things about being an aspiring voice actor is getting to play video games and not only get to enjoy amazing worlds, mechanics and characters but also gain a real appreciation for the acting that goes into these games by my voice acting inspirations such as @sonicmega.bsky.social
To aspiring and/or struggling voice actors: please don't give up.
I know the industry seems like it's hanging off the edge of a precipice but there are so many people out there going "I want to get _______ in something SO BAD, they're so talented, it is absolutely insane they haven't been in more."
Had my last session with the gender affirming vocal coach I was seeing. She said that the amount of improvement I've made this last year has been incredible and she feels she's given me all the tools to work on my own.
I'm happy she thinks so, but I'm also worried if I'll ever have the voice I want
