Brendan has been doing great work covering this with some much needed reality on the public figures & platforms fanning the flames. Not letting Twitter off the hook but FB,Tiktok, Instagram even YT are just as radicalising & worse given reach.
This from James McClean of Derry City FC. Just illustrates a person can be genuinely opposed to racist violence but also accept some of the right's narrative around immigration and these views are not confined to just one community.
Just to be clear statement below is from an Ardoyne anti-racist republican. Similar things happening elsewhere.
Obviously most violence last night was by loyalists. But persistent reports of attempts by fascists to involve nationalists and also reports today (from republicans) of groups threatening immigrants in nationalist areas. This is new. It's not 1920 or 1969.
