incredible UX design from instagram: There's someone I follow whose story posts I've muted for Reasons. Instagram obeys this and doesn't show their stories in the feed, BUT it shows me a *notification* every time they post a story, with no apparent way to make it not do that. Truly galaxy-brained.

Back from the ER, 5 stitches and a tetanus shot later. Took a look at the glove I was wearing and holy shit that thing saved it from being a lot worse - see how it cut right through the fabric backing but was stopped by the tougher hide on the grip part.
