Great way to start a Sunday.
Seems like a good day to mention I met Barney Frank about a dozen years back at Fire Island Pines, while he sat at an outdoor table at the pizza place and waited for his husband to come out with their pizzas.
I babbled like a true fan, thanking him for everything he had done for us.
I was embarrassed at how “teen meets idol” inarticulate I was. My friends declared it “perfect.”
He was a good man.
I never participate in these things, but the opportunity to throw Peter, Paul, and Mary and John Denver on there made this mandatory.
