Fifteen years after their last Australian appearance, Foxy Shazam return to Sydney's Manning Bar in a technicolour fever dream. For a group that has spent two decades treating the stage as a place for unrestrained spectacle, the intimate confines of the University of Sydney venue only amplify the sense that anything could happen at any moment. The band's reputation has long rested on the art of performance. Formed in Cincinnati in 2004, Foxy Shazam have built a cult following by embracing glam rock excess, soul, funk and theatricality with such conviction that comparisons to Queen, The Darkness and My Chemical Romance have followed them throughout their career.

Sixteen years after they last stood on an Australian stage, Poison The Well return to Sydney's Metro Theatre with the kind of reverence reserved for genuine architects of a scene. From the release of The Opposite Of December…A Season Of Separation in 1999, Poison The Well helped redraw the blueprint for heavy music, proving that brutality and vulnerability could coexist within the same song. Their fingerprints can be found all over the evolution of metalcore that followed, inspiring countless bands and helping shape a genre that would explode throughout the 2000s.

Dutch independent artist ROSANNE is continuing to carve out her own dark-pop universe with the release of ‘MISPER’, the second single to be lifted from her forthcoming debut EP, due later this summer. Released today, ‘MISPER’ takes its title from the term “missing person” and explores the unsettling experience of becoming disconnected from oneself. Wrapped in cinematic production and shadowy textures, the track examines identity and alienation, capturing the disorientating sensation of no longer recognising the person staring back in the mirror. Building on the introspective qualities of her previous work, ROSANNE once again leans into emotional storytelling, balancing vulnerability with a brooding atmosphere that gives the song its distinctive character.

Global multi-hyphenate Henry Lau will make his long-awaited return to Australia this October, bringing his ENJOY THE SHOW World Tour to Melbourne and Sydney for two exclusive headline performances. The former Super Junior-M member will perform at Melbourne's Forum on October 23 before heading to Sydney's Darling Harbour Theatre on October 25, marking his first-ever solo concert dates in Australia. The shows arrive in support of his recently released English-language single ‘Enjoy The Show’, a track that encapsulates the artist's ability to blur the boundaries between pop, R&B and classical music.

Berlin duo DJ HEARTSTRING are set to bring their euphoric blend of trance, techno and emotional release back to Australia, announcing a headline show at Melbourne's Wool Store on September 25, presented by Untitled Group and supported by Creative Victoria. Landing on the AFL Grand Final public holiday, the performance marks the first event in The Wool Store's 2026 series and signals the beginning of what promises to be another busy spring for Melbourne's electronic community. It also arrives amid a period of rapid growth for the venue, with Untitled Group recently unveiling a dedicated social media channel for The Wool Store as it enters a new chapter.

Sydney’s independent punk scene has a new name to add to its growing list of disruptors. Emerging from the Inner West and already making their presence felt on stages across New South Wales, The Cunning Linguists have today released their debut single, ‘Love In The Dark’. Formed in January 2026, the trio brings together drummer Bart Gill, guitarist Jade Ryan and vocalist Clare Easdown, combining the abrasive spirit of 1990s grunge with the urgency and directness of punk. Despite their recent formation, the band have quickly established themselves on the local live circuit through a steady run of performances around Sydney and beyond.

This third album from the afro-rhythm, world fusion group ODD OKODDO marks a coming together that has been simmering. Joining Kenyan luthier/singer Olith Ratego and German producer/drummer Sven Kacirek’s is veteran dodo musician Ogoya Nengo but she’s no stranger. Nengo, as well as Ratego, featured on Kacirek’s eclectic debut ‘The Kenya Sessions’ way back in 2011. Kacirek then produced Nengo’s Honest Jon’s released ‘Rang'ala’ album plus the follow up ‘Om Mande’ a few years later. So ever since Kacirek and Ratego formed ODD OKODDO in 2018, the moment they welcomed in Nengo’s commanding presence seemed inevitable.
