In Persian, the scorpion has two names. The first one is kaj-dum کج دم (literally, crooked-tailed).
The second one is an antiname out of fear: naam-gum نام گم (literally, name-lost i.e. nameless).

Scorpions get a lot of bad press so I just want to share that Gaia sent Scorpius to take out Orion when Orion threatened to kill all the wild animals of the world.
(Scorpius continues to hunt Orion in the constellations … always on opposite sides of the sky)
