I'm stuck on human hair at 18x scale, since that's #sizegate .
Each strand would be ~ as wide as a toothpick. They'd be braided into necklaces. Neutral colors, glossy, dark brown most common.
Maybe it'd become a "tough guy" or just a "tourist" look. Like a puka shell choker.
