If Streeting were to be made Chancellor would Miliband want any other job than continuing the mission at DESNZ? And if that happens the first few months of the Burnham administration will be a deeply uninformed vibes based media psychodrama over North Sea drilling.

There are of course a million and one reasons to be extremely concerned about a Wes Streeting chancellorship, but sticking purely to the subjects I know something about, Wes wants to:
- drill for more North Sea oil and gas ‘to lower energy bills’
- take out cycle lanes ‘to alleviate congestion’
