I don't know about other #horror #authors, but for me, I cannot write the spooky 'blood, blood and death' when I am in a bad mood. Or a dark one. Let alone an angry one. I have to be in a pretty upbeat mood, really. Not unicorns farting stardust level, but yeah, I have to be rather chipper.

Real world, I am an engineer, and as of late I've been getting TONS of requests to come do project work on LMRs, Motorola and L3Harris systems, etc. Yes, all of them Gov with 3 letter acronyms. Nope. Not using my experience to help this administration hurt my fellow Countrymen and Women.
