In the past, I can at least understand how US soldiers were brainwashed into fighting wars they believed were defending their country. Not today with the plethora of information available - Off they go to die for Israel, the oil companies, politicians, and their donors.

The Irish government's cowardice and subservience towards Israel gets more sickening with each passing day. Moving a home fixture to a neutral venue continues their complicity in genocide, denies the Irish people their right to protest, and hands the team a sporting disadvantage. #StopTheGame

Football has been close to religious for me, and World Cups brought a joy that Ireland's absence since 2002 never dulled. This one is different. An empire hostile to the world is hosting it, with tickets priced beyond the fans who built the game. For once, I'm glad we didn't qualify.

Satellite analysis by @nytimes.com appears to fit with the Iranian govt's statement that two water storage sites have been hit. According to the Iranian gov't, they were struck by the US, cutting off water to 20,000 people. They say water was restored in ~11 hours. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/10/w...
