He flew the length of its underside blasting incendiary rounds into it. He was almost crushed beneath it as it fell. It was the last deliberate zeppelin attack on London.
Really chuffed to see that Budgie’s memoir The Absence, which I helped write, is Rough Trade’s Book Of The Year. It was a joy to work on this & encounter Budgie’s tender fearlessness in writing about subjects most male musicians don’t go near. A lovely man.
